My Quick Story: My name is Dwight (Coach D) and I've been building and customizing onboarding or New Hire training programs for over 10 years. I started working in sales and leadership over 20 years ago, and my onboarding skills were refined at Trulia and Zillow, where I onboarded sales teams of 25-30 reps every week in San Francisco and Denver. At first, we turned over reps almost as fast as we brought them in. We then stepped back and analyzed why we're effective. We started tweaking the program, listening to top talent and leaders, and overtime, went from 20 reps to over 450 in three offices. When Zillow purchased Trulia, we had built a $2.8B company. I learned a ton in those 4 years and decided to move out on my own in 2014 to help other startups do the same. I've now created onboarding programs for startups like Hotel Engine, Pie Insurance, Evolve Vacation Rental Network, and others. All startups have the same goal: rapid growth, which requires scalable systems.
